A quiet customs house, a lively wharf, and a former cannery street share the edge of Monterey Bay. What connects these places with a beach where people come simply to watch the waves? Look beyond the postcard view. Each place offers a different way to understand this waterfront.

How to Play Choose any of the six known stops in any order. This browser sample starts with Custom House, Old Fisherman’s Wharf, and Pacific House already found. Select Collect Idol or the simulated QR scan to try another. Finding all six reveals the conclusion. No trip, account, camera, or location permission is needed, and refreshing resets your sample progress. Scoring Each first collection earns 1 sample point, except Cannery Collector and History Seeker, which each earn 2 points for their search areas. Repeating a collection adds nothing. Each idol includes an optional photo challenge worth one extra point after approval. The sample starts with three approved photos credited to @bayexplorer, bringing the starting score to 6 points. Finding the remaining idols brings the sample score to 11. New uploads are disabled in this preview; a live version could award up to 14 points for all six collections and six approved photos. All displayed prizes and the coffee offer are examples with no cash value and cannot be redeemed. Safety For a real visit, use public paths, follow posted hours and closures, and give wildlife space. Never play while driving. A map marker grants no entry permission. No idols or QR codes are installed at these locations, and no purchase or contact with venue staff is needed for this sample.
