What is a Collection Game?
A Collection Game is an open invitation to explore. Idols are placed at different locations, and you choose which ones to visit and in what order. There’s no puzzle you must solve before starting and no required route to follow.
You can collect one idol while you’re out, make a short outing of a few nearby stops, or return on another day to explore a different neighborhood. Each find counts on its own; collecting only part of the game is a perfectly good way to play.
How to play
Choose a game and a first stop
Open the game, check its dates, and browse the map or idol list. Pick a location that fits your plans. Read its arrival instructions and check opening hours before setting off.
Visit and collect
For a physical idol, find the wooden idol and scan its QR code. For a digital idol, open its page at the location and follow the check-in instructions. You’ll need a free account to save your find.
Decide what comes next
Visit another nearby idol, try a suggested group of stops, or finish for the day. You don’t need to collect one particular idol to unlock the next.
What to expect on an outing
For example, you might collect an idol during a coffee stop, walk to two more nearby, and save a different district for the weekend.
Some stops may be within a comfortable walk of each other; others may need a separate trip. Check the actual distances and access details. Physical idols are usually inside participating businesses, while a digital stop may allow a check-in from outside.
How much time do you need?
You set the pace. One stop can fit into an ordinary visit; several stops make a longer outing. The standard Find the Idol game runs for four weeks, while custom games can have different dates. Always check the game you’re joining.
Your collected idols stay in your personal collection. Each first collection awards the points configured for that idol. Collecting the same idol again in the same game doesn’t add more points or another business reward. Any prizes or optional business offers follow that game’s published details.
Is this your kind of game?
Choose a Collection Game if you like exploring with plenty of freedom. It suits a spontaneous stop, a few finds with friends, or several small adventures spread across the game’s dates. You can enjoy the experience without trying to collect everything.
If you’d rather work out where to go from clues, explore a Mystery Hunt. If you prefer a suggested start, route, and finish, take a look at a Discovery Trail.
